Adult Camp

Some things don't have an age limit — and community is one of them.

We're bringing the magic of our Summer Camp for Teens to adults. Whether you've been watching our youth camp from afar and quietly wishing there was something like it for you, or you're just ready for a weekend in the woods with people who get it — this is your invitation.

Adult Camp is a weekend retreat for trans and queer adults who want space to play, create, reflect, and connect — completely unplugged from the noise of everyday life. Set in the woods, this is a place to slow down, make art, sit by the fire, and remember what it feels like to just be.

This year's theme: Magic in the Woods. Expect creativity, wonder, and maybe a little mischief.

Who Is This Camp For?

☑ Trans adults (18+) — Priority registration is now open for trans folks!

☑ Partners of trans folx — Welcome to attend if they identify as queer themselves.

☑ Queer adults (18+) — General registration opens at a later date to the broader queer community.

What Will We Be Doing? A Little Bit of Everything Magic

A weekend in the woods means space for all of it — the silly, the tender, the weird, and the transformative. Everything below is opt-in: come to one session, come to several, or find a spot and read a book. Sessions run roughly 60–90 minutes, and we're planning to offer many of them more than once so you won't have to choose between everything you want to do.

Be the Magic

You already are the magic. These sessions just help you remember it. Dig into what self-care actually means (hint: it's not always bubble baths), explore how your neurodivergent brain works and unworks, and build your own toolkit for advocating for the version of you that's allowed to take up space.

Magic of Connection

Some magic only happens between people. Take a beat to slow down together at Shabbat, make fast friends at Speed Friending, and pile up together for Movie Night. Connection is its own kind of spell, and these are a few ways to cast it.

Magic of Play

Play has always been at the heart of camp, and Adult Camp is no different. Make your own Monster Mash stuffy, get moving, wander the woods identifying plants, dig into joy and play as resistance, and yes, fling a few bricks across a field at Shotput with Bricks. However you play, joy's the whole point.

Reclaiming the Magic

A lot of us grew up with Harry Potter. J.K. Rowling's very public harm to the trans community has made that complicated and we think that deserves more than a quiet goodbye. Join us for a no-holds-barred art session built around dismantling the books: make blackout poetry from the pages, destroy them however feels right, or toss them in the fire. Grief, rage, catharsis, creativity…all of it belongs here.

Inner Magic

Sometimes magic takes a little digging. These sessions hold space for vulnerability and shame, sexuality and kink, energy and wholistic healing, and the stress your body's been quietly carrying through workshops, an IFS heart meditation with collaging, and a stack of permission slips you didn't know you needed.

Ancestral Magic

Some magic comes from those who came before us…by blood or by choice. These sessions make room for grief and memory through an honest grief workshop, then turn that reflection into something you can hold onto: building an ancestor box of your own.

Lodging

Camp will primarily be cabin-based. A limited number of tent camping spots are also available for an additional $50. Tent availability is limited — we'll share more details at registration.

When you register, you'll have the option to let us know if you're coming with friends and would like to be placed in the same cabin.

Accessibility: This camp takes place at a Girl Scout camp facility with natural terrain. While we are committed to inclusion, the environment includes uneven and unpaved surfaces, rustic trails, and outdoor conditions that may present challenges for those with significant mobility needs.
