Major! A Community Screening
A film screening for queer, trans, and allied adults (18+)
Join Wild Heart Society and Queer Community Network for a community screening of Major!, the documentary about Miss Major Griffin-Gracy, Black trans elder, Stonewall veteran, and longtime activist. The screening follows our Wild Heart Book Club conversation on Miss Major Speaks: Conversations with a Black Trans Revolutionary by Miss Major and Toshio Meronek.
Whether you joined us for the book club or are coming just for the film, you are welcome here. No reading required, and no prior knowledge needed. Come as you are.
About the Film
Major! follows Miss Major’s decades of organizing, from her years at the center of trans liberation movements to her work supporting trans women of color who have been incarcerated or targeted by systemic violence. It’s a portrait of survival, resistance, chosen family, and fierce love, told in large part in her own words.
