Wild Heart Book Club:
Miss Major Speaks
A book club gathering for queer, trans, and allied adults (18+)
Join Wild Heart Society and Queer Community Network for a meeting of Wild Heart Book Club featuring Miss Major Speaks: Conversations with a Black Trans Revolutionary by Miss Major and Toshio Meronek. This gathering invites queer, trans, and allied adults to come together for thoughtful conversation, shared reflection, and community connection. No academic vibes, no pressure to be “caught up.”
We’ll gather as a community to reflect on Miss Major’s words, lived experience, and legacy, with space for listening, care, and collective reflection. Whether you’ve read the whole book, part of it, or are encountering this work for the first time, you are welcome here.
About the Book
Miss Major Speaks offers powerful conversations with Black trans activist and elder Miss Major Griffin-Gracy, spanning decades of organizing, survival, and resistance. Our discussion will center respect, care, and accountability, honoring Black trans history and lived experience without debate or expectation to explain or defend one’s identity.
