Bevyn Rowland, PhD (she/her)

As your therapist (or clinical supervisor), my primary goal for every encounter is finding how to keep us in alignment with the kind of human, single person or partner, parent, spouse, and/or mental health clinician/supervisor you want to be. This requires us both to evolve our shared understanding of the entirety of who you are, how the world presses against you, has wounded you, made you strong in places and shattered you in others; Together, we fortify what’s awesome about you and develop supports to shift how you hold your history and move toward your future, living into the humanity you consciously practice on your path to becoming YOU.

I do this by (1) attending to the ways you have been socialized by your cultures and family of origin; (2) helping you contextualize your positionality across your life roles that include varying social-locations of power, privilege, and oppression; and (3) using my years of life as a human (nearly 50), as a therapist (about 20), and clinical supervisor (15-ish) to know when to nudge you in the directions you need nudging, and stay still with you as you hold-fast to parts of your story you’re not ready to change “yet” (and I will always honor your “nevers”).

I’m a white femme who grew up in the PNW and has lived in lower-middle to middle-middle economic class situations across the US. I identify as a cisgender Queer woman, with varying levels of disability due to chronic health conditions. I may not be the right fit for you and am happy to help you find a good-fit therapist/supervisor, if I can.

Let’s schedule an intake appointment (or supervision information session) and see how it goes. I work my best therapy chops with relational dyads (of most relationship styles) and individuals navigating how to best human (verb) in an always awesome/awful world.

Supervision Specialty: I clinically supervise social workers (up to 40 hours), interns and associates moving toward LMHC and Psychologist licensure in WA (all hours needed for training programs and/or licensure). Especially trainees who need support understanding and working at the interces of their systemically privileged and oppressed identities with diverse clients to minimize harm and maximize healing partnerships with clients and/or your own supervisees.

Supervision Modes: Hybrid available for 2024.

Specialty: Individual and Couples Therapy: Incorporating all aspects of who you are (all social identities important to you: including race, gender journey, queerness quotient, disability, cultural/religious/atheist/political worldviews) into the healing needed for the life and/or relationships you want.

Telehealth status: Telehealth Only for 2024.
