Kate, LMHCA

Hello there, I’m Kate! (she/her)

Regarding the therapeutic process, I believe that therapy should be collaborative between the client(s) and the counselor, where the client is the expert in the room. I want to create a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment where you can share your personal story and explore the significance of these life experiences. When possible, we may incorporate creative, experiential, and somatic exercises into our sessions. This can look like using art, music, the outdoors, or the mind-body connection through our work together. Specifically, my therapeutic modality is a combination of Psychodynamic, Narrative, and Gestalt therapies.

Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time in nature, hiking and canoeing, crafting, and reading.

Education: I have received an M.A. in Counseling from Lewis & Clark’s Graduate School of Education and Counseling. I previously completed B.A. degrees in Psychology and Communication at UCLA.

I am best for people who: would like support in navigating significant life changes, are experiencing relational challenges, and/or are interested in gaining a better understanding of themselves.

Telehealth Status: Provides both in-person and telehealth

Supervision: Kate works under the supervision of Menachem Markowitz
