Leeza, Self-Awareness Guide
Hi, I’m Leeza!
I was born and raised in suburban Georgia, in the ‘80s I served in the Air Force, and for the first 40 years I lived a life of quiet self-oppression. It was while living in San Francisco, that I started seeking (demanding) answers to “why am I here”, “who am I.” It was an existential crisis that was decades in the making, that came to a climactic end one evening. When I woke the next morning I found an inexplicable peace. This peace has been the ever-present lens in which I perceive life.
I offer self-awareness guidance for those invested in gaining a deeper understanding of themselves and cultivating a more peaceful relationship with their inner experience.
This work offers a complementary space alongside therapy where clients can slow down, listen inwardly, and become even more aware of what is happening beneath the surface of experience. Through presence, reflection, and gentle inquiry, clients are supported in noticing the thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and protective patterns that shape how they see themselves, others, and the world.
While this work is not clinical therapy, diagnosis, or treatment–it can beautifully support the therapeutic process by helping clients cultivate more self-awareness, happiness, and self-love.
I know there is a quiet steadiness within each of us that can become easier to recognize when we are met with compassion, presence, and curiosity. In sessions, we may use guided meditation, gentle body awareness (what I call yoga-meditation), reflective conversation, and self-inquiry to explore what is arising in the moment. Sometimes this looks like sitting quietly. Sometimes it looks like asking a thoughtful question. Sometimes it's gently noticing an old story and discovering that there's more spaciousness available than previously believed.
My approach is warm, grounded, direct, and deeply compassionate. I especially enjoy supporting people who are navigating self-doubt, shame, anxiety, identity exploration, life transitions, overthinking, spiritual questions, or a longing to feel more at home within themselves.
Since 2007, I've been unwaiveringly devoted to embodied peace, mindfulness, and self-awareness in everyday life. My work is rooted in the lived experience, and I bring that presence into my work with individuals, and groups. My approach is similar to Dr Gabor Maté's “Compassionate Inquiry.”
I am best for people who: are seeking inner-peace, clarity, open to meditation, self-awareness, self-acceptance, and exploring the deeper question of who they are beneath the fear, conditioning, and self-judgment. For those who see themselves as part of the LGBTQI++ community, I'm an inviting family member–offering a space to heal, be acknowledged, and celebrated.
I love quiet mornings, meaningful conversations, playing steel tongue-drum, being in the mountains, camping, and noticing the ordinary moments where life feels simple, tender, and whole.
