Sam, LMHCA
Hi, I’m Sam! (She/her)
I am a Licensed Associate under clinical supervision as I continue to work toward a PsyD in Clinical Psychology at Pacific University. My clinical experience thus far includes working in various residential settings (for both adolescents and adults), community mental health, and an intensive outpatient program where I supported clients with significant distress and impairment. I have experience in psychodynamic psychotherapy and Exposure and Response Prevention (gold standard treatment method for OCD), and I also draw from ACT and DBT which can help people manage distress and move toward living in ways that reflect their core values.
I hope to get to know you and build a strong collaborative relationship as our foundation to do the work together. I put my clients first, hoping to champion and steward your growth and healing while honoring your unique wisdom and perspective. As a biracial and bisexual woman, I have lived experience in living at the margins of belonging. I hope to bring curiosity about the nuances and intersections that you embody and together we will work toward healthy ways for you to survive systems and thrive in the places your identities give you resilience and power to live a life you love.
In my free time, I am usually painting, doing ceramics, or climbing. On weekends I’ll be found camping and hiking, or going dancing with my friends.
