Wild Heart Book Club:

Whipping Girl

A trans-centered book club gathering for queer & trans adults (18+)

Join Wild Heart Society and Queer Community Network for the first meeting of our Wild Heart Book Club series, featuring Whipping Girl by Julia Serano. This gathering is a space for trans, queer, and allied adults to come together for thoughtful conversation, shared reflection, and community connection. No academic vibes, no pressure to be “caught up.”

We’ll meet in person at Wild Heart and provide snacks, coffee, and cozy seating. Whether you’ve read the whole book, part of it, or are just familiar with the ideas, you are welcome here.

About the Book

Whipping Girl is a foundational text in contemporary transfeminist thought, exploring misogyny, transmisogyny, gender expression, and the politics of femininity. Our discussion will center lived experience, curiosity, and care. There’s no expectation to debate or defend your identity.
